Bruce’s Tire & Auto Service, a family-owned business serving the Bay Area since 1936, has once again helped and supported the Fusion to keep its Frenzy Golf Jostle running dynamically.
It is the third consecutive year when the Bruce’s Tire has stepped up to sponsor the Fusion’s annual fundraising mega event. Besides making generous financial contributions, Bruce’s Tire has distributed raffle prizes, gifted goodie bag stuffers to each golfer, and organized a pioneering and succulent fundraising recreation on the 18th hole.
It is a well-known fact that the ties between Bruce’s Tire and Fusion run deep. Hope Robledo, the main controller of Bruce’s Tires, served Fusion in the year 2015-16 as its admin, and Uri, Hope’s husband, coached Fusion for over a decade.
According to Hope Robledo, she feels very fortunate and takes immense pleasure in strengthening the connection between Fusion and Bruce’s Tire. Hope says, “Proceeding from Fusion Frenzy will eventually benefit TOPSoccer as well as Fusion’s local player scholarship fund.” Hope continues by telling us that she is passionate about supporting Fusion’s TOPSoccer (the free soccer program for kids with disabilities) and desires to give it back to the local families.
As a matter of fact, Hope introduced the idea of ‘Shot for Shot,' a putting contest in which all Frenzy golfers of The Fusion were greeted at hole 18. In this contest, a truck tire, with an opening cut through it, was positioned face-down on the green's edge. The golfers were allowed to hit their shots through the opening, and those who knocked it right were awarded the luxurious taste of a special spirit. All golfers also made a donation, which eventually helped the ‘Shot for Shot' contest to accrue over $400, thereby granting a highly-entertaining conclusion to this foursome day arrangement.
Bruce’s Tire, an auto repair shop in Livermore, CA also offered two coveted raffle prizes, including an Odyssey Putter and a Cleveland Wedge, both valued at $150 each, to the golfers and at the same time, contributed 3-pack of Titleist golf balls to the golfer’s goodie bags.
Moreover, Bruce’s Tire has brought along a 1930 Ford Model A, an unusual company car that offers a unique staging area for the golfer’s goodie bags and is made for a great conversation starter. In fact, the 1930 Ford Model A has been a part of the Bruce’s Tire for multiple generations.
The Fusion is extremely grateful for the continuing support of the Bruce’s Tire family and strives to support businesses like Bruce’s Tires who constantly gives back to the club and community.
