Preventative maintenance services

Tire Pressure Monitoring System

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) monitors the air pressure in your tires. This system is designed to alert you when the tire pressure in one or more of the tires has dropped below the manufacturer’s recommended level of tire pressure. An indicator light on the dashboard of your vehicle will illuminate, which means you need to add air yourself or bring it in for our tire specialists to assist.

The TPMS itself requires regular maintenance, so it will meet maximum performance standards.

Wheel purchase & wheel installation services

Wheels aren’t designed to come into contact with the road. They help support the weight of a vehicle and connect the tire-wheel assembly to the axle. Replacing wheels as needed is extremely important for your safety and the performance of your vehicle.

You may need to get a wheel repaired, or you have decided to pick out a new wheel. Different wheels increase steering response or improve the handling of your vehicle. You may want a wheel that better fits your personality, and we can help you find the right design. Whatever your reason, our tire specialists can help you find the right wheel for the tire-wheel assembly on your vehicle, because not all wheels fit all axles and bolt patterns. After you choose your wheels, we then answer all your questions about the installation.

Wheel alignment

The wheels on your vehicle must be parallel to each other and perpendicular to the ground. There are three basic angles that contribute to proper wheel alignment: camber, caster, and toe. The front and rear wheels should always be perpendicular to the ground and parallel to the tire beside it.

A wheel alignment at Bruce's Tire uses high-tech equipment to align the wheels, which will promote reduced tire wear, better gas mileage, and safer driving conditions. When a vehicle’s wheels are out of alignment, the tires will wear unevenly. This leads to a vehicle pulling to one side or the other while being driven. If not corrected, the next system affected is the steering and suspension. A vibration in the steering wheel at higher speeds alerts you that the suspension has been damaged by wheels that are not aligned properly.
